G-Dragon has thought about marriage at least once.
On Park Myeong-su’s YouTube channel “Hal Myung-su,” G-Dragon appeared much more relaxed when he met Park. On June 14th, the video titled
“(SUB) G-DRAGON ♥ Min Ddu-ragon: We Reunited After 14 Years | Hal Myung-su ep.235”was uploaded. That day, Park Myeong-su and G-Dragon performed “Baramnasseo” together, and naturally fell into conversation afterward.
Park Myeong-su said, “I really want to do the
‘Baramnasseo’ stage. But do you think they’d let me? I’m dying to get on
stage,” and then added, “By the way, why isn’t GD showing up? Am I too much
trouble? Of course, as a senior, I can’t force him,” clearly missing G-Dragon
without knowing he was the guest.
They first bonded through Infinite Challenge and
still shared a comfortable rapport. Park Myeong-su was surprised when G-Dragon
suddenly appeared but quickly remembered seeing him on another program and
played coy. GD replied, “Why don’t you just give up, hyung? I never confirmed
if I would appear or not, yet articles kept saying I would. But Park Myeong-su
gave me a chance to come on, so I decided to shake everything off. I’m starting
my tour in May, but I wanted to clear this off my plate first,” showing he was
ready to feel relieved.
Park Myeong-su asked, “Did your concert go well?”
There had been a lot of complaints when GD’s concert was delayed. GD admitted,
“It was my first concert in eight years, so I even forgot how to invite people.
I was so focused on doing my best that day. It was freezing—I was shivering.
Because of technical issues, when it got cold, things froze up and caused a lot
of delays. I should have just done well; I’m disappointed in myself,” taking
responsibility for the rough patches.
Next, Park Myeong-su asked, “You didn’t invite me
to the Good Day program. Am I too difficult to work with?” “Good Day,” directed
by PD Kim Tae-ho, had drawn attention for controversies around Kim Soo-hyun’s
appearance and falling ratings before it ended. GD responded with wit: “I want
to ask you this instead: Are you not on good terms with PD Kim Tae-ho?” His
quick comeback shifted the conversation. They then began talking about their
mutual friend, IU. Park Myeong-su praised her: “IU has been sending gifts every
holiday for ten years.”
GD added, “Isn’t IU great at taking care of
everyone? Once, a refrigerator arrived at my place. I opened it and it was full
of the liquor she was promoting. It was just before I enlisted, and I went to
the military completely wasted,” sharing behind-the-scenes of his enlistment.
Born in 1988 and now in his late thirties, GD still
captivates all generations with his sense of style. Park Myeong-su carefully
asked, “This might be a rude question given your age, but now that you’re
older, have you thought about marriage?” He wondered if anything would change
despite GD’s ongoing success.
GD, who was recently linked to actor Lee
Joo-yeon—formerly of After School—said, “I’m not saying I won’t get married,
but I’ve thought about it a few times. I just haven’t given it much serious
thought yet,” answering honestly.
Park Myeong-su teased, “If you do get married,
who’s going to sing at your wedding? I might as well prepare ahead of time,” to
which G-Dragon replied, “I’ve never sung a wedding song before. If I get
married, I’ll sing at my own wedding.”
When Park Myeong-su asked, “Has anyone ever asked
you to sing at their wedding?” GD said, “Yes—like my family and my sister asked
me, but I’ve never sung at any wedding.”

Finally, Park Myeong-su asked, “How long are you going to keep calling yourself GD?” Critics have compared his provocative sense to legends—some call him the second Na Hoon-a, others the second Cho Yong-pil. Park Myeong-su’s question seemed designed to probe what it takes to be the first G-Dragon. GD replied with sparkling eyes, “Maybe because I’m still young, or because it’s music—I feel like I’ll keep doing it. The fact that I still want to do it is what matters,” drawing attention with his sincerity.
